Career.zycto is seeking a highly strategic and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives in Chipinge, Manicaland Province. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping the future of our workforce by designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive learning and development strategies that align with our strategic objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's overall business goals and talent objectives.
  • Design, implement, and manage a wide range of learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, onboarding, and continuous professional development.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and determine appropriate learning solutions across various departments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through data analysis, feedback mechanisms, and ROI metrics, making data-driven improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation and cost-effective program delivery.
  • Research and integrate best practices, emerging technologies, and innovative methodologies in learning and development.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate L&D initiatives into broader talent management and succession planning efforts.
  • Champion a continuous learning culture throughout the organization, promoting self-directed learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Oversee the selection and management of external training vendors and partners when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in a senior Learning & Development role, preferably at a Director level or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and evaluate impactful learning strategies and programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and various learning methodologies.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and motivating staff.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented approach to talent development.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
  • Certification in HR, L&D, or coaching (e.g., CPTD, SHRM-SCP, SPHR).
  • Experience working in a multinational or diverse organizational environment.
  • Familiarity with talent analytics and leveraging data for L&D insights.
  • Experience with change management initiatives related to learning and organizational transformation.
