Key Responsibilities
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading packages, ensuring items are secured and organized efficiently.
- Navigate routes effectively using maps or GPS, helping drivers to optimize delivery paths.
- Verify delivery contents against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Safely deliver packages to customers' doorsteps, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Communicate any delivery issues, delays, or customer feedback to the driver and dispatch team.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, especially when handling packages and driving.
Required Skills
- Valid Class 5 driver's license (or equivalent) with a clean driving record (abstract may be requested).
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong physical stamina and endurance for frequent lifting, bending, and walking.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Basic knowledge of Sunnyside, Calgary street layouts or ability to quickly learn routes.
- Effective communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
