Job Description
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Officer to join our vibrant team located in Saint Pierre, Moka District. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for various categories of goods, services, and capital expenditure.
- Identify, rigorously evaluate, and select new suppliers based on comprehensive criteria including price, quality, delivery timelines, and service levels.
- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers to secure the most favorable terms, conditions, and pricing, consistently achieving significant cost savings and superior value for money.
- Prepare and accurately process purchase orders and requisitions, ensuring strict compliance with company policies and established procedures.
- Continuously monitor and analyze market trends, supplier performance metrics, and expenditure patterns to proactively identify opportunities for process and cost improvements.
- Manage and cultivate robust supplier relationships, ensuring consistent on-time delivery, stringent quality assurance, and prompt resolution of any issues or discrepancies.
- Collaborate extensively with internal stakeholders across departments (e.g., operations, finance, project management) to accurately ascertain procurement needs and technical specifications.
- Ensure absolute compliance with all relevant procurement policies, ethical standards, environmental regulations, and local legal requirements.
- Maintain meticulous and accurate procurement records, contracts, and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a directly comparable supply chain role.
- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, demonstrated both in written and verbal contexts.
- Strong analytical acumen and advanced problem-solving abilities, capable of tackling complex procurement challenges.
