Job Description
Are you a highly organised, empathetic, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for making a real difference in the lives of older people? Age UK Reading is seeking a dedicated Work from Home Donor Management Partner to join our vital fundraising team. As our Donor Management Partner, you will be instrumental in maintaining and enhancing our donor database, processing donations accurately, and delivering exceptional supporter care. You will be the first point of contact for many of our donors, providing them with a positive and rewarding experience that reflects our charity’s values. This role requires a proactive approach to data integrity, a keen eye for detail in financial administration, and a warm, professional communication style. You will work closely with the fundraising and finance teams, providing essential support that underpins our ability to deliver critical services. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain our CRM database (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or similar) to ensure accurate and up-to-date donor records.
- Process donations efficiently and accurately, including direct debits, online gifts, cheques, and other income streams.
- Generate timely and personalised thank you letters, acknowledgement receipts, and communications to donors.
- Respond to donor queries via email, phone, and post, providing exceptional customer service and resolving issues promptly.
- Support the fundraising team with data extraction, reporting, and analysis to inform fundraising strategies.
- Assist with Gift Aid administration, ensuring compliance and maximising income generation.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection regulations (GDPR) at all times.
- Collaborate with the finance team to reconcile donations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to improve donor stewardship processes and enhance the donor journey.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of donor engagement initiatives.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in donor management, CRM administration, or a similar fundraising support role.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) for donor management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on donor care.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and financial administration.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Demonstrable understanding of data protection and GDPR compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a charity or non-profit organisation.
- Familiarity with Gift Aid regulations.
- A track record of contributing to improved donor retention or engagement strategies.
- Formal qualification in business administration, fundraising, or a related field.
