Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Hotel Sales Executive to join a prestigious hospitality client located in the bustling Ilupeju district of Lagos. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic individual with a passion for sales and a proven track record in the hotel industry. As a Hotel Sales Executive, you will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, cultivating strong client relationships, and expanding our client’s market share across various segments including corporate, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), and leisure. You will proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities, conduct compelling presentations, negotiate contracts, and develop tailored sales strategies to attract and retain a diverse portfolio of clients, from major corporations to event planners and individual high-value guests. This pivotal role demands a proactive and strategic approach to sales, coupled with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. A deep understanding of the competitive hospitality landscape in Lagos is crucial for success. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, prospect, and secure new business opportunities across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with existing and potential clients through regular engagement.
  • Prepare tailored sales proposals, conduct compelling presentations, and negotiate contracts to close deals effectively.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Actively participate in sales calls, site inspections, industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
  • Collaborate with the hotel's marketing and operations teams to ensure seamless client experience and service delivery.
  • Provide regular and accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and market feedback to management.
  • Manage client accounts efficiently, ensuring all client needs and expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and market dynamics within the hospitality sector.

Required Skills

  • Proven sales experience within the hospitality industry, preferably hotels.
  • Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Results-oriented with a strong drive to meet and exceed targets.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with hotel management systems (e.g., Opera PMS).
  • Extensive local market knowledge of Ilupeju and the broader Lagos business environment.
  • Established network within the Lagos corporate sector or event planning community.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., Yoruba) is a plus.
