Career.zycto is actively seeking an visionary and dynamic Director of Research and Development to spearhead our innovation efforts in Mutare, Manicaland Province. This pivotal leadership role demands a blend of profound technical expertise, strategic foresight, and exceptional managerial acumen to drive the creation of cutting-edge products and solutions. Key Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of engineers, scientists, and researchers.
- Oversee the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to testing and commercialization.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies, market trends, and intellectual property opportunities.
- Manage R&D budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the R&D department.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, operations, and sales teams.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and quality controls.
- Present R&D progress, challenges, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
- Drive the generation and protection of intellectual property through patents and trade secrets.
Required Skills
- Proven experience in an R&D leadership role, preferably as a Director or Senior Manager.
- Master's degree or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Material Science, or a related technical field.
