Key Responsibilities

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and student well-being.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, department heads, and school administration to enhance curriculum design and share best practices.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and overall development.
  • Participate actively in extracurricular activities, school events, and parent-teacher meetings.

  • Stay updated with current educational trends, pedagogical research, and engage in continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all students in your care at all times.

Required Skills

  • Fluent in English (C1/C2 level) and German (B2/C1 level) for instruction and communication.
  • Proven ability to manage a classroom effectively, promoting a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Strong pedagogical knowledge and deep subject matter expertise relevant to secondary education.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in utilizing educational technology and learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Google Classroom).
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to cater to students with diverse academic abilities and cultural backgrounds.
  • Creativity, adaptability, and resilience in teaching approaches and problem-solving.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Education or a specific subject area relevant to secondary teaching.
  • Previous experience teaching in an international, multicultural, or bilingual school setting.
  • German state teaching qualification (Zweites Staatsexamen) or recognized EU equivalent certification/licensure.
  • Experience with inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, or other progressive educational methodologies.
  • Additional language proficiency (e.g., French, Spanish).
