Job Description

Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and safety-conscious On-site Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team in Hoover, Alabama. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in the smooth flow of our inventory, ensuring that goods are received, stored, and dispatched with utmost efficiency and accuracy. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move, stack, and retrieve materials and products.
  • Load and unload trucks and trailers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement of freight.
  • Inspect forklifts daily, perform routine maintenance checks, and report any malfunctions or safety concerns.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations.
  • Verify product counts and ensure accurate labeling and placement of inventory.
  • Scan products and update inventory management systems as required.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse, ensuring cleanliness and accessibility of materials.
  • Participate in inventory counts and help resolve discrepancies.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational goals.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience operating various types of forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach truck).
  • Valid forklift certification.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and perform physical tasks.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Basic math and reading comprehension skills.
  • Reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience with inventory management software or WMS.
  • Previous experience in a large-scale distribution or logistics center.
  • Ability to operate other warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
