Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process all customer transactions, including sales, returns, and exchanges, using the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card, and mobile payments with precision and ensure correct change is given.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product location or information.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting retail counter area, ensuring all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Assist with basic merchandising tasks, such as restocking shelves and arranging displays near the counter to enhance visual appeal.
- Resolve customer complaints or issues courteously and efficiently, escalating complex situations to management when necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, especially regarding cash handling, security protocols, and age-restricted sales.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure smooth store operations and a positive shopping environment for all patrons.
- Process end-of-day reconciliation reports and complete all necessary financial paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 6 months experience in a retail, customer service, or cashier role.
- Proficient in handling cash and operating Point of Sale (POS) systems with accuracy.
