Job Description
Le Kiosk Apartments is seeking a highly skilled, proactive, and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in the picturesque coastal village of La Gaulette. In this pivotal role, you will be the cornerstone of our property’s operational excellence, responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning, safety, and aesthetic appeal of all our facilities. This includes our individual apartments, common areas, utility systems, and surrounding grounds. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a diverse range of tasks, from conducting routine inspections and implementing preventative maintenance schedules to responding promptly and efficiently to unexpected repair needs and guest requests. Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all property facilities, including apartments, common areas, and external grounds.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and general carpentry, executing necessary repairs.
- Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution and guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all local safety regulations and building codes.
- Assist with minor renovation projects, installations, and property upgrades as needed.
- Operate and maintain a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
- Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs when necessary.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in a general maintenance role, preferably within hospitality or residential property management.
- Strong technical knowledge and practical skills in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose problems, troubleshoot effectively, and implement lasting solutions.
- Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems and general appliance repair.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused approach.
- Physical stamina and ability to perform duties that require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license.
