Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and feeding, always maintaining dignity and respect.
- Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and accurately record observations, promptly reporting any changes or concerns to nursing staff.
- Help maintain a clean, tidy, and safe patient environment, including tidying rooms, changing linens, and ensuring equipment is accessible.
- Assist with patient transfers and ambulation using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a comforting and positive atmosphere.
- Assist nursing staff with basic medical procedures under direct supervision, as per training and protocols.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of care provided and observations made.
- Facilitate patient comfort by responding to call bells promptly and addressing immediate needs.
- Transport patients within the facility for tests, therapies, or appointments, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Adhere strictly to infection control policies, safety guidelines, and all relevant healthcare regulations.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
