Key Responsibilities
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron all hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest laundry according to established procedures and schedules.
- Operate and maintain commercial laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, and ironing machines, safely and efficiently.
- Inspect linens for stains, damage, or wear and tear, and report any issues to the supervisor.
- Manage laundry supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels of detergents, softeners, and other cleaning agents.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards within the laundry area.
- Organize and store clean linen in designated areas, ensuring easy access for housekeeping staff.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized laundry room at all times.
- Assist with inventory counts of linen and uniforms as required.
- Handle guest requests for laundry services promptly and courteously.
- Perform minor repairs to linens such as mending torn items when necessary.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to follow instructions diligently and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy bags of linen (up to 20kg), and perform repetitive tasks.
- Basic understanding of laundry processes and equipment operation.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Reliability and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience (at least 6 months) as a Laundry Attendant, preferably within a hotel or hospitality setting.
- Knowledge of different fabric types and appropriate cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with industrial laundry chemicals and safety protocols.
