Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and accurately check incoming goods for quantity and quality against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Efficiently sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined inventory procedures.
- Accurately pick and pack orders from stock, ensuring correct items and quantities are selected and prepared for shipment.
- Prepare and complete orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
- Perform regular inventory controls and maintain high-quality standards for all warehouse processes and audits.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering strictly to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Operate and maintain various warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks; forklifts if certified) safely and efficiently.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards immediately to the shift supervisor.
- Assist with periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventory processes to ensure stock accuracy.
Required Skills
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for reading manifests and counting stock.
- Physical ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as a valued member of a team.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations or a strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
- Adherence to safety guidelines and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience (6+ months) working in a warehouse, logistics, or similar physical labor setting.
