Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from offering insightful local recommendations for dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions, to assisting with transportation arrangements and coordinating special requests. You will work closely with other hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, and Food & Beverage, to ensure all guest requests are met promptly and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, providing a genuine and enthusiastic first impression.
- Offer expert local knowledge and recommendations for restaurants, attractions, shopping, and events in Abuja.
- Assist guests with booking reservations for dining, tours, transportation, and other services.
- Coordinate and confirm guest requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and efficiently, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
- Maintain up-to-date information on hotel services, facilities, and local area happenings.
- Manage luggage handling and storage when required, ensuring guest belongings are secure.
- Collaborate effectively with front desk, bell staff, and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming concierge desk area.
- Process guest mail, messages, and packages accurately.
- Anticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance to enhance their experience.
Required Skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a hotel setting.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Fidelio) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of other languages (e.g., Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) is an advantage.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- A genuine passion for providing outstanding guest service.
- Problem-solving aptitude with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Strong knowledge of local attractions, dining, and transportation in Abuja.
