Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Home-Based Media Relations Executive to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for a talented PR professional to leverage their expertise from the comfort of their home office, while remaining an integral part of our Norwich-based agency’s operations. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building and maintaining strong relationships with media outlets across local, regional, and national landscapes, securing impactful coverage for our diverse client base. You will be responsible for crafting compelling press releases, engaging media pitches, and developing strategic PR plans that align with client objectives and enhance brand visibility. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive media relations strategies for a diverse portfolio of clients.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and key media influencers across various platforms.
- Draft compelling and accurate press releases, media advisories, feature articles, and other PR materials.
- Proactively pitch news stories and features to targeted media outlets, securing positive and impactful coverage.
- Monitor media coverage, analyse results, and generate detailed reports for clients.
- Identify emerging media trends and opportunities to enhance client visibility.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on media engagement and public relations best practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal marketing and creative teams to ensure integrated campaign delivery.
- Manage media enquiries and facilitate interviews between clients and journalists.
- Contribute to new business development by assisting with proposals and presentations as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in media relations, public relations, or corporate communications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and grammar.
- Demonstrable track record of securing high-quality media placements in regional and national outlets.
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and current news cycles.
