Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the precise setup and breakdown of banquet tables, chairs, staging, and other event equipment according to detailed floor plans.
- Handle and transport banquet equipment, including linen, crockery, cutlery, and glassware, with care and efficiency.
- Prepare and arrange table settings, ensuring all elements are in perfect order and meet quality standards.
- Support the banquet team in preparing event spaces before, during, and after functions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage areas, banquet rooms, and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth event execution.
- Be proactive in identifying and addressing any setup needs or issues during event preparation.
- Learn and adapt to various event requirements and setup styles.
- Assist with any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Banquet Supervisor or Manager.
Required Skills
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy objects (up to 25kg) repeatedly.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive, 'can-do' attitude.
- Excellent team player with good communication skills.
- Punctual and reliable, with a commitment to consistent attendance.
- Willingness to learn and take direction.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays, as per event schedules.
- Basic understanding of English for safety instructions and team communication.
Preferred Qualifications
- No prior experience required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are key!
