Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line technical support to internal employees regarding hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Respond to IT support requests via helpdesk ticketing system, email, and phone in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve common IT problems, including password resets, software installations, peripheral device support, and basic network connectivity.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Document all support activities and resolutions in the helpdesk system to maintain accurate records and knowledge base.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary, providing detailed reports of troubleshooting steps taken.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance checks on IT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist in maintaining IT inventory and asset management records.
  • Provide basic user training on new software or IT procedures as required.
  • Adhere to company IT policies and security protocols.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are a plus but not required for entry-level.
  • Strong passion for technology and a genuine interest in IT support.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS), and common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a methodical approach to troubleshooting.
