Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on commercial and industrial refrigeration systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in refrigeration units, chillers, and freezers.
- Execute complex repairs, component replacements, and system overhauls with precision and efficiency.
- Install new refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards.
- Conduct refrigerant recovery, recycling, and charging procedures in accordance with environmental guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of all service, repair, and installation work performed.
- Provide clear and concise technical explanations to clients regarding system status and necessary repairs.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service requests, as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion and client satisfaction.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a Refrigeration Mechanic, particularly with commercial/industrial systems.
- Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, components, and controls.
- Proficiency in diagnosing electrical faults and using diagnostic tools.
- Competency in brazing, soldering, and pipefitting techniques.
- Valid driver's license (Class B or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical fitness to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions (e.g., confined spaces, heights).
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant trade certification or vocational degree in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
- Experience with specific brands or types of industrial refrigeration equipment (e.g., ammonia systems).
- Knowledge of German safety standards and regulations (e.g., DGUV, BetrSichV).
- Fluency in German language (B2 level or higher).
- Experience with smart refrigeration technologies and building management systems (BMS).
