Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport company staff, clients, and materials to designated locations within Eleme, Port Harcourt, and surrounding areas.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the company vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues or defects promptly.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of the company vehicle, both interior and exterior.
- Adhere strictly to all national and local traffic laws, regulations, and company safety policies.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance in a logbook.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials or luggage as required, ensuring their safe transit.
- Plan optimal routes to avoid traffic and ensure timely arrival at destinations.
- Demonstrate professionalism, courtesy, and discretion when interacting with passengers.
- Be available for occasional extended hours or weekend shifts as operational needs demand.
- Ensure all vehicle documentation (e.g., insurance, registration) is valid and up-to-date.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver’s License (Class E or G)
- Minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience (commercial or company driving)
- Thorough knowledge of Port Harcourt road networks and traffic regulations
- Clean driving record with no history of serious traffic offenses
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability
