Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking an inspiring and strategic Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent enhancement initiatives in Lupane, Matabeleland North Province. This pivotal role will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing comprehensive learning strategies that align with our organizational objectives and foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's strategic goals and operational needs.
  • Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning modules covering leadership development, technical skills, compliance, and soft skills.
  • Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and future training requirements across various departments and employee levels.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of all learning initiatives, using data-driven insights to measure ROI, refine programs, and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of L&D professionals, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality program delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including HR, operations, and executive leadership, to integrate L&D initiatives into broader talent management strategies.
  • Research and implement cutting-edge learning technologies and methodologies to enhance the learning experience and accessibility.
  • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Champion a culture of continuous learning, professional growth, and knowledge sharing throughout the organization.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in developing and implementing strategic learning and development programs.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.

  • Expertise in instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to measure program effectiveness and drive decision-making.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
