Key Responsibilities
- Safely and punctually transport the principal and other senior staff to various destinations including meetings, appointments, and events, often on a flexible schedule.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in pristine condition, ensuring regular cleaning, scheduled servicing, and addressing any mechanical issues promptly with approved vendors.
- Plan efficient routes using navigation tools, considering traffic patterns, road conditions, and security implications to ensure timely arrival.
- Strictly adhere to all local traffic laws and safety regulations, prioritizing the security and well-being of passengers at all times.
- Manage vehicle logbooks, fuel consumption records, and report any incidents, accidents, or malfunctions immediately to management.
- Assist passengers with loading and unloading luggage or other items as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding passenger discussions, destinations, and schedules.
- Conduct pre-and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and identify any potential issues.
- Be prepared for occasional long-distance travel or overnight stays if required.
Required Skills
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (Class E or equivalent)
- Minimum of 4 years of proven executive or corporate driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Port Harcourt and surrounding areas
- Impeccable driving record with no major accidents or traffic violations
- Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Punctual, reliable, and highly organized
- Discreet, professional demeanor with strong ethical standards
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
