Key Responsibilities
- Assist truck drivers with the meticulous loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and placement.
- Secure cargo appropriately using straps, chains, or other methods to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues, defects, or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional truck cabin environment.
- Assist with navigation and route planning, including interpreting maps or GPS directions.
- Accurately handle and complete delivery documentation, such as waybills, manifests, and proof of delivery.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with truck drivers, dispatch, clients, and other team members.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, road safety regulations, and company operational policies.
- Provide support for minor roadside assistance or repairs under the guidance of the driver, if competent and safe to do so.
