Career.zycto is actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Estate Facility Technician to join our team, serving a prestigious residential and commercial estate in Obiakpor, Port Harcourt. As our Estate Facility Technician, you will be the backbone of our property management operations, responsible for a diverse range of technical and hands-on tasks. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of estate facilities, including electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, generators, and structural elements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure all equipment and systems operate efficiently and extend their lifespan.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and tenants, diagnosing issues and performing necessary repairs.
  • Carry out repairs related to plumbing (leaks, blockages), electrical (faulty wiring, lighting), carpentry (door repairs, furniture fixing), and general building fabric.
  • Monitor and manage utility systems, including water supply, power, and waste disposal, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Coordinate and oversee external contractors for specialized repairs or projects, ensuring work is completed to standard.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and spare parts.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations across all facility operations.
  • Implement and adhere to security protocols for access control and property protection.
  • Assist in the preparation and supervision of renovation and upgrade projects within the estate.

Required Skills

  • Proven hands-on experience in facilities maintenance or estate management.
  • Strong technical skills in at least two of the following areas: electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC.
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve various facility-related issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using a range of hand and power tools safely.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • A strong commitment to safety protocols and quality workmanship.
  • Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and climbing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Relevant trade certification or vocational training in an engineering or technical field.
  • Previous experience working in a residential or commercial estate environment.
  • Basic understanding of building management systems (BMS).
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance management software.
  • Valid Nigerian Driver's License.
