Career.zycto is seeking a highly strategic and visionary Director of Learning & Development to lead our talent growth initiatives within Matabeleland North Province. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a holistic learning and development strategy aligned with Career.zycto's business goals and talent objectives.
- Design, develop, and deliver innovative and impactful learning programs, including leadership development, technical skills training, and compliance modules.
- Identify current and future skill gaps through comprehensive needs assessments and workforce planning.
- Implement and manage learning technologies (LMS, LXP) to optimize delivery and tracking of learning initiatives.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of L&D programs using key metrics and feedback mechanisms, continually refining approaches for maximum impact.
- Coach and mentor internal trainers and subject matter experts to enhance their instructional delivery skills.
- Manage the L&D budget, vendor relationships, and external training partnerships.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth across the organization.
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to integrate L&D initiatives with broader talent management strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging learning technologies, and adult learning theories to ensure cutting-edge program design.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful L&D strategies and programs.
- Expertise in instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and blended learning solutions.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in managing learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and external vendor relationships.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess program effectiveness and drive data-informed decisions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Organizational Development, HR, Education, or a related discipline.
- Certification in relevant L&D areas (e.g., CPTD, ATD credentials, coaching certifications).
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment across multiple industry sectors.
