Career.zycto is actively seeking an experienced and passionate Full-Time DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team in Thunder Bay. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between development and operations, fostering a culture of collaboration, and driving our continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated systems that ensure the rapid and reliable deployment of our software applications.
As a DevOps Engineer, you will work closely with our software development, quality assurance, and infrastructure teams to streamline our development lifecycle, from code commit to production. Your expertise will be crucial in building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions. You will champion infrastructure as code (IaC) principles, leveraging tools like Terraform or Ansible to manage our cloud resources efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles with tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Monitor system health, performance, and security, and proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Manage and optimize cloud resources (AWS, Azure, GCP) including virtual machines, containers, and serverless functions.
- Implement and enforce security best practices across our infrastructure and application deployments.
- Troubleshoot complex production issues and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
- Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and tools.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve efficiency and system reliability.
Required Skills
- 4+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency with Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Extensive experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
- Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong understanding and experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
