Career.zycto is actively seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Legal Contract Review Assistant to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity for an individual with a keen interest in contract law and legal compliance to play a critical role in supporting various client projects. As a Legal Contract Review Assistant, you will be instrumental in analyzing, summarizing, and identifying key provisions and potential risks within a diverse range of legal agreements. Your work will directly support our legal teams and clients, ensuring contractual integrity and adherence to regulatory frameworks across multiple sectors.

In this hybrid role, you will have the flexibility to work both from our vibrant Harare office and remotely, providing you with a balanced and adaptable work environment. Your daily tasks will involve a comprehensive review of contracts, including service agreements, vendor contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and more. You will be responsible for extracting pertinent information, highlighting clauses that require attention, and assisting in the preparation of summaries and reports for senior legal professionals. Furthermore, you will help maintain an organized contract management system, ensuring all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and interpret a wide range of legal contracts and agreements for various clients.
  • Identify key contractual provisions, obligations, risks, and compliance issues.
  • Prepare concise summaries, abstracts, and reports of contracts for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the drafting, redlining, and negotiation of standard agreements under supervision.
  • Maintain and update the contract management database with accurate and current information.
  • Conduct legal research on specific contract clauses, industry regulations, and legal precedents as required.
  • Ensure all contract review processes adhere to internal policies and relevant legal standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with legal counsel, project managers, and other departments to facilitate contract lifecycle management.

  • Familiarity with Zimbabwean contract law and regulatory landscape.
  • Experience with various types of commercial contracts (e.g., service agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts).
  • Certification in Contract Management or Paralegal studies is a plus.
