The Director of R&D at Career.zycto will be the visionary leader orchestrating our technological evolution, specifically within the realm of recruitment and HR technology. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall R&D strategy aligned with Career.zycto's business objectives and long-term vision in recruitment technology.
  • Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of engineers, data scientists, and researchers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the entire R&D lifecycle, from ideation and conceptualization to prototyping, testing, and successful handover to product development.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, blockchain for credentials) relevant to the HR and recruitment space.
  • Manage R&D budgets, resource allocation, and project timelines, ensuring efficient execution and delivery of results.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure R&D initiatives meet market needs and business goals.
  • Establish and maintain intellectual property strategies, including patenting and knowledge management.
  • Represent Career.zycto's R&D capabilities externally, engaging with academic institutions, industry consortia, and technology partners.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in R&D, including agile methodologies, quality assurance, and ethical considerations in AI development.

Required Skills

  • Proven leadership in an R&D or advanced technology development role, preferably within SaaS, AI, or HR Tech.
  • Deep understanding of software development methodologies, data science principles, and machine learning applications.
  • Exceptional strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into tangible outcomes.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing large R&D budgets.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and inspire diverse technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
