Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the cataloging, tagging, and metadata creation for various digital assets (images, videos, audio, documents) according to established standards.
- Support the ingestion and organization of new digital content into the Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure accuracy and consistency of metadata and asset integrity.
- Help maintain and update the DAM system, including user access, permissions, and system configurations.
- Provide basic support to internal users regarding asset retrieval and usage guidelines.
- Participate in the development and documentation of DAM policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Assist with digital preservation efforts, ensuring long-term accessibility and integrity of assets.
- Collaborate with content creators, marketing teams, and IT professionals to optimize asset workflows.
- Contribute to training materials and provide guidance on DAM system usage for new users.
- Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in digital asset management and library science.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, Archival Studies, or a related field (or actively pursuing/recently graduated).
- Familiarity with metadata standards (e.g., Dublin Core, IPTC, XMP).
- Basic understanding of digital asset management principles and concepts.
- Proficiency with common office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace).
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (bilingualism is highly valued in Quebec).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive attitude and a strong desire to learn and adapt.
