Key Responsibilities
- Perform general site clean-up, including removing debris, trash, and hazardous materials.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment manually or with assistance.
- Assist skilled tradespersons (carpenters, masons, electricians, etc.) with various tasks.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth using hand tools and basic machinery.
- Prepare sites for concrete pouring, including setting forms and spreading concrete.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Transport materials around construction sites using wheelbarrows, dollies, or other equipment.
- Erect and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades as instructed.
- Perform other labor-intensive tasks as required to support project progress.
Required Skills
- Physical strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks for extended periods.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely (up to 50 lbs or 23 kg).
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks and environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in construction, general labor, or a physically demanding role.
- Knowledge of basic measurement and tool usage.
- First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
- Valid driver's license (though not strictly required for this role).
