Career.zycto is urgently seeking a highly meticulous and experienced Engineering Documentation Reviewer to join our team in Sainte-Foy, Quebec City. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough reviews of engineering documentation, including specifications, reports, manuals, drawings, and other technical documents, for accuracy, completeness, clarity, and adherence to established standards and guidelines.
  • Identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, and technical terminology.
  • Verify consistency of information across multiple documents and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal company policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineers, technical writers, and project managers to clarify technical concepts, resolve discrepancies, and incorporate feedback.
  • Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for improving documentation quality and processes.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of current industry best practices for technical documentation and quality assurance.
  • Track and report on documentation review progress and identified issues.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of documentation templates, style guides, and review checklists.
  • Ensure all reviewed documents are version-controlled and archived appropriately.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing efforts for process improvement.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering documentation review, technical editing, or quality assurance.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in technical writing principles and documentation standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French (bilingualism is a strong asset).
  • Familiarity with various document management systems (DMS) and version control software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple review projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree or professional certification in technical communication or editing.
  • Experience in a specific engineering discipline such as mechanical, electrical, civil, or aerospace engineering.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or other industry-specific quality management systems.
  • Experience with specialized software tools for documentation, such as Adobe FrameMaker, AutoCAD, or similar.
  • Proven track record of improving documentation quality and efficiency in previous roles.
