Are you a passionate and experienced outdoor educator looking to inspire individuals of all ages through adventurous learning? Career.zycto is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Outdoor Education Instructor to join our vibrant team in Innenstadt, Fulda. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, orienteering, camp craft, and environmental studies.
  • Ensure the highest standards of safety for all participants, adhering to established protocols and conducting thorough risk assessments.
  • Provide instruction and mentorship, encouraging personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills.
  • Manage group dynamics effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Maintain and inspect outdoor equipment, ensuring it is in safe and working condition.
  • Administer basic first aid and emergency response as needed.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate regularly with colleagues, participants, and stakeholders.
  • Document program activities, incidents, and participant progress.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in leading outdoor education programs or adventure activities.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of outdoor safety protocols and risk management.
  • Proficiency in outdoor skills (e.g., navigation, wilderness first aid, camp craft).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • First Aid/Wilderness First Responder certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Fluency in German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, Environmental Science, Recreation, or a related field.
  • Certifications in specific outdoor disciplines (e.g., climbing instructor, paddlesports guide).
  • Experience working with diverse populations and age groups.
  • Knowledge of local ecology and natural history of the Fulda region.
