This pivotal role is based at one of Ibadan’s esteemed hospitality establishments, situated conveniently on Ring Road. As a Concierge Assistant, you will be the first point of contact for guests, serving as their guide to the best experiences Ibadan has to offer. Your mission will be to create an unforgettable stay for every guest by providing personalized recommendations, arranging services, and anticipating their needs with a proactive and cheerful demeanor. Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome guests upon arrival and assist with luggage and entry procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive information regarding hotel facilities, local attractions, dining options, transportation, and events in and around Ibadan.
  • Handle guest inquiries and requests efficiently, making reservations for restaurants, tours, and other services.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with various hotel departments (e.g., Housekeeping, Front Desk, Bell Services) to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge base of current events, road conditions, and popular destinations to provide accurate and up-to-date recommendations.
  • Assist guests with special requests, minor issues, and, if necessary, emergency situations with professionalism and discretion.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and messages for guests.
  • Operate the hotel's concierge desk software and communication systems effectively.
  • Uphold the highest standards of hospitality and customer service at all times, reflecting the hotel’s luxurious image.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a customer service, hospitality, or front-of-house role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong knowledge of Ibadan's local attractions, culture, dining, and transportation networks.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of additional local languages (e.g., Yoruba) is a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to anticipating guest needs.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (MS Office Suite) and experience with hotel management systems.
