As an Insurance Agent, Sales and Support, you will be the primary point of contact for new and existing clients. Your days will be dynamic, encompassing everything from proactive lead generation and client consultations to policy issuance and ongoing customer service. You will be responsible for understanding client needs, educating them on various insurance products (life, health, property, motor, etc.), and tailoring solutions that perfectly fit their requirements and budget. Beyond sales, you will provide critical post-sales support, assisting with claims inquiries, policy renewals, adjustments, and general account management. We are looking for someone who can build strong, lasting relationships based on trust and professional expertise. Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities for various insurance products (life, health, property, motor, etc.).
- Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential and existing clients to understand their insurance requirements.
- Present and explain complex insurance products and policy terms in an clear, understandable manner.
- Guide clients through the application process, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed and submitted.
- Manage existing client portfolios, facilitating policy renewals, endorsements, and beneficiary updates.
- Provide exceptional post-sales support, addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with claims processing.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance products, market trends, and regulatory changes.
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets and performance metrics.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients through regular communication and follow-ups.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales activities, and policy details in the CRM system.
Required Skills
- Proven sales experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities
- Customer service orientation with a problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
- Valid insurance agent license/certification (e.g., IRA certification in Kenya)
- Previous experience with CRM software
- Knowledge of local Busia County market dynamics and demographics
- Fluency in English and Swahili; knowledge of local dialects is a plus
