Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to users in the computer lab, assisting with hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Monitor computer lab operations, ensuring all equipment is functional and available for use.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning equipment, updating software, and checking for security vulnerabilities.
  • Assist users with logging in, accessing applications, saving files, and basic internet navigation.
  • Maintain an organized and clean computer lab environment, including managing peripheral devices and supplies.
  • Report complex technical issues to senior IT staff or management for resolution.
  • Assist in maintaining an inventory of hardware, software, and other lab assets.
  • Enforce lab policies and guidelines to ensure a productive and respectful user experience.
  • Provide guidance and support for printing services and other lab-specific resources.
  • Contribute to creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all lab users.

Required Skills

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware and software (Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite).
  • Familiarity with network connectivity and internet usage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
