Career.zycto is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estate Facility Technician to become an integral part of our property management team in Jericho, Ibadan. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the seamless operation and aesthetic appeal of our diverse portfolio of residential and commercial properties. As an Estate Facility Technician, you will be the cornerstone of our maintenance efforts, ensuring that all facilities are kept in pristine condition, functional, and safe for all occupants and visitors.

Your role will encompass a broad spectrum of responsibilities, from performing routine preventative maintenance tasks to responding promptly to repair requests and diagnosing complex technical issues. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of all estate facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment, to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, HVAC units, carpentry, and general building structures.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs.
  • Execute minor and major repairs, replacements, and installations as required to ensure optimal functionality of facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs performed, and materials used.
  • Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies, and communicate needs for replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or projects, overseeing their work to ensure quality.
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of facilities for events or new occupants.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents and tenants, addressing their concerns professionally and efficiently.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of OND/HND in a relevant technical field (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Building Technology).
  • Proven experience in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform duties that require lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Trade certification in plumbing, electrical work, or HVAC.
  • Previous experience working in a large residential or commercial estate.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations pertinent to facility management.
  • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
  • Valid driver’s license.
