Your day-to-day will involve a proactive and strategic approach to sales. From prospecting new leads through various channels—including networking, cold calling, and digital outreach—to preparing compelling proposals and delivering engaging presentations, you will be at the forefront of our business development efforts. You will expertly navigate the entire sales cycle, from initial inquiry and qualification through to contract negotiation and the seamless hand-off for successful event execution. A deep understanding of event logistics, venue capabilities, and vendor management will be crucial as you collaborate closely with our operations and marketing teams to ensure flawless delivery and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development through proactive lead generation, networking, and cold outreach strategies.
  • Manage and nurture a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, from initial contact to contract closure.
  • Develop customized event proposals and compelling presentations that effectively showcase Career.zycto's capabilities and value proposition.
  • Conduct compelling sales pitches and negotiations to secure new business and foster long-term client relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to thoroughly understand their vision, budget, and objectives, offering expert guidance and creative solutions.
  • Coordinate seamlessly with the event operations team to ensure smooth project hand-off and flawless execution.
  • Achieve and consistently exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging market opportunities to inform sales strategies.
  • Represent Career.zycto at industry events, trade shows, and local networking functions to build brand presence.

Required Skills

  • Proven track record in event sales or B2B sales with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
  • Strong negotiation and advanced closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with strong presentation acumen.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Ability to develop and deliver compelling, client-focused presentations.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and effective time management.
  • Highly goal-oriented with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets.
  • Deep understanding of the event management industry and the full sales cycle.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a closely related field.
  • Experience managing a diverse portfolio of corporate, social, and public events.
  • Established professional network within the Ganaja, Lokoja business community.
  • Proficiency in a local Nigerian language (e.g., Igala, Nupe, Yoruba, or Hausa) in addition to English.
  • Certification in Sales or Event Management.
