Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive R&D strategy aligned with company goals and market needs, particularly within agricultural technology.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of scientists, researchers, and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Oversee the entire R&D project lifecycle, from ideation and feasibility studies to prototyping, testing, and commercialization.
- Manage the R&D budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to financial targets.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, methodologies, and scientific advancements into our research programs.
- Establish and maintain robust intellectual property strategies, including patenting and protecting novel discoveries.
- Forge strategic partnerships with universities, research institutions, industry leaders, and government agencies.
- Ensure all research activities comply with relevant regulatory standards, safety protocols, and ethical guidelines.
- Present research findings, project updates, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and external stakeholders.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and scientific excellence within the R&D department.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Research & Development, with at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering complex R&D projects from concept to market.
- Strong understanding of scientific methodologies, experimental design, and data analysis.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strategic planning and execution capabilities, with a results-oriented approach.
