Job Description

Career.zycto is excited to partner with a leading property management firm in Oba-Ile, Akure, to recruit an experienced and dedicated Estate Facility Technician. This full-time role is critical to maintaining the pristine condition and operational efficiency of our client’s residential and commercial estates. As an Estate Facility Technician, you will be the front-line expert ensuring that all building systems, infrastructure, and common areas function seamlessly, providing a safe, comfortable, and aesthetically pleasing environment for all residents and occupants.

Your day-to-day will involve a diverse range of tasks, from routine inspections and preventive maintenance to emergency repairs. We are looking for a proactive individual with a strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail. You must be adept at working independently while also collaborating effectively with other team members, contractors, and residents. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on all estate facilities, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and structural components.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues, ensuring timely and effective repairs.
  • Conduct repairs and replacements of faulty equipment, fixtures, and appliances within residential units and common areas.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and implement best practices for facility management.
  • Oversee the work of external contractors, ensuring quality standards and adherence to project timelines.
  • Manage waste disposal, general cleanliness, and landscaping upkeep within the estate premises.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to residents regarding facility usage and basic troubleshooting.
  • Be available for emergency call-outs outside regular working hours when necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in facility maintenance or a related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency in using various hand and power tools safely.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and communication.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring lifting, bending, and climbing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical certification or diploma in a relevant trade (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Plumbing).
  • Experience with smart home systems or building management systems (BMS).
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • First aid and safety certification.
  • Experience working in a residential estate or commercial property environment.
