Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain industrial washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Accurately sort linen, towels, staff uniforms, and guest clothing according to type, color, and fabric composition.
- Thoroughly inspect all items for stains, wear, and tear, applying appropriate pre-treatment and washing methods.
- Expertly fold, iron, and press all laundry items neatly, ensuring wrinkle-free and presentable results.
- Organize and stack clean linen in designated storage areas, ensuring easy access and inventory control.
- Ensure timely delivery and collection of clean and soiled laundry to and from various hotel departments and guest rooms.
- Monitor laundry supplies (detergents, softeners, stain removers) and report stock levels to supervisors promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all hotel and industry health, safety, and hygiene standards within the laundry area.
- Perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance of laundry equipment and maintain a tidy, organized work environment.
- Handle delicate guest garments with utmost care and discretion, meticulously following specific washing instructions and tags.
Required Skills
- Proven ability to operate commercial or industrial laundry machinery effectively and safely.
