Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute photoshoots for various hotel needs including rooms, facilities, culinary offerings, events, and staff portraits.
- Operate and maintain professional photography equipment, ensuring its readiness and optimal performance.
- Perform advanced photo editing, retouching, and color correction using industry-standard software like Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Ensure all photographic content aligns with Gwanda Hotel's brand guidelines, visual style, and quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with the marketing, events, and other hotel departments to understand and fulfill their visual content requirements.
- Manage and organize a comprehensive digital asset library, ensuring proper tagging, storage, and easy retrieval of all images.
- Stay updated with the latest photography trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously enhance the visual output of the hotel.
- Provide creative input and suggestions for visual storytelling and content strategy across all hotel communication channels.
- Assist in occasional video production and editing for promotional purposes, if relevant skills are possessed.
- Travel within Gwanda/Matabeleland South for off-site shoots related to hotel promotions or events, as required.
Required Skills
- Proven experience as a professional Photographer, preferably within a commercial, hospitality, or lifestyle setting.
- Expertise in digital photography techniques, including advanced understanding of lighting, composition, and color theory.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Lightroom for post-production editing.
- A strong portfolio showcasing diverse photographic styles, including architectural, food, lifestyle, and event photography.
- Excellent understanding of visual storytelling and brand aesthetics, with the ability to translate concepts into compelling visuals.
- Ability to work independently on projects while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting professionally with guests and staff.
