Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Contract Videographer with a passion for studio shooting to join our dynamic creative team. This is a project-based contract role ideal for a skilled professional eager to bring their technical expertise and artistic flair to diverse visual projects. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for producing high-quality video content within our studio environment, ranging from product showcases and testimonial videos to explainer content and brand narratives. You will be instrumental in the entire production lifecycle, from concept development and pre-production planning, through meticulous studio setup, precise filming, and sophisticated post-production.
This role demands a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of lighting and sound within a controlled studio setting, and proficiency with professional-grade video equipment and editing software. We are looking for an individual who can not only execute a brief but also contribute creatively, suggesting innovative approaches to visual storytelling and ensuring every frame aligns with our clients’ brand identity and objectives. You will work closely with our creative director, marketing strategists, and graphic designers to ensure a cohesive and impactful final product. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving project requirements will be key to your success. Key Responsibilities
- Operate professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices within a studio setting.
- Set up and break down studio equipment, including lighting rigs, backdrops, and props.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize, plan, and storyboard video projects.
- Direct talent, subjects, and models during studio shoots to achieve desired performance and visual impact.
- Capture high-quality video footage according to project specifications and creative briefs.
- Edit, colour grade, and enhance video footage using industry-standard software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Integrate motion graphics, sound effects, and music to elevate production value.
- Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and technical specifications.
- Manage and organize media assets and project files efficiently.
- Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and software as needed.
- Stay updated with industry trends, techniques, and equipment advancements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in professional video cameras and associated equipment (DSLR, Mirrorless, Cinema Cameras).
- Expertise in studio lighting techniques for various subjects (products, people, interviews).
- Strong understanding of audio recording principles and equipment.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Excellent visual storytelling and compositional skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating a range of studio-shot video projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Film Production, Media Studies, Visual Arts, or a related field.
- Experience with DaVinci Resolve for colour grading.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and 3D animation software.
- Familiarity with various video codecs, formats, and delivery platforms.
