Key Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport clients (personal or corporate) to their destinations.
- Maintain the assigned vehicle in clean and excellent working condition, performing daily checks and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, speed limits, and safety regulations in Rwanda.
- Plan and execute optimal routes, considering traffic conditions, road closures, and client preferences, utilizing navigation tools.
- Ensure timely arrival for all scheduled pickups and appointments, managing schedules effectively.
- Assist clients with loading and unloading luggage or other items as required, providing courteous service.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality regarding client information and activities.
- Communicate effectively and proactively with dispatch or management regarding schedules, issues, delays, or emergencies.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and trip logs.
- Adapt to last-minute schedule changes and route adjustments with flexibility and a positive attitude.
Required Skills
- Valid Rwandan driving license (Category B or D)
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable professional driving experience
- Excellent knowledge of Ngoma District and surrounding areas, including optimal routes and local traffic patterns
- Strong understanding and strict adherence to Rwandan road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Demonstrated safe driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Exceptional punctuality and reliability
- Good communication skills in Kinyarwanda and English
- Ability to perform basic vehicle checks and minor routine maintenance
- Strong customer service orientation and professional demeanor
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience driving for corporate clients, executives, or high-net-worth individuals
- Proficiency in French is an added advantage
- First Aid certification and/or defensive driving course completion
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile applications for route optimization
