Are you a coffee enthusiast with a flair for customer service? Career.zycto is searching for a passionate and skilled Part-Time Barista to join our vibrant team in Mopeia, Zambezia Province. We are looking for an individual who is eager to master the nuances of espresso extraction, milk frothing, and latte art, while also providing a warm and inviting atmosphere for every guest. Your day will involve everything from greeting customers with a friendly smile, taking orders accurately, and preparing a wide range of coffee and non-coffee drinks, to handling transactions and keeping our coffee bar sparkling clean. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and other specialty drinks, following company recipes and standards.
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and process payments efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment, including coffee machines, grinders, utensils, and serving areas.
- Ensure freshness of coffee beans and other ingredients, managing stock rotation and notifying management of low supplies.
- Educate customers on menu items, providing recommendations and answering questions about coffee origins and preparation methods.
- Handle customer feedback and resolve issues professionally and promptly to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours and maintain a harmonious work atmosphere.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
Required Skills
- Previous experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a café setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso machine operation.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with a friendly and outgoing personality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and operating a POS system.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 kg.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in food handling or hygiene.
- Experience with latte art.
- Fluency in Portuguese and basic English.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
