Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and non-functional requirements.
- Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Identify, document, track, and retest bugs and defects using a bug tracking system, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of our QA processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Collaborate with product managers and developers to understand project requirements and ensure testability of features.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and review meetings, providing valuable input from a quality assurance perspective.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for efficiency, where appropriate.
- Provide clear and concise status updates on testing progress and defect resolution.
- Conduct root cause analysis of issues and provide recommendations for preventative measures.
- Ensure all software products meet specified quality standards and user experience expectations.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of professional experience in software testing or quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with test case management and bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, TestLink).
- Proficiency in creating clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English and German (B2 level or higher).
- Familiarity with various testing types (functional, regression, integration, performance).
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ISTQB certification (Foundation Level or higher).
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright).
- Knowledge of SQL for database testing.
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI).
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
