Key Responsibilities
- Washing dishes, pots, pans, and cutlery by hand or using industrial dishwashers.
- Maintaining impeccable cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, storage areas, and all kitchen equipment.
- Assisting with basic food preparation tasks such as peeling vegetables or portioning ingredients as directed by senior chefs.
- Emptying bins and ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling procedures are followed.
- Receiving, unpacking, and correctly storing deliveries, ensuring stock is rotated efficiently.
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors regularly to prevent slips and maintain hygiene.
- Adhering strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
- Assisting with the movement and setup of kitchen equipment and supplies as needed.
- Supporting chefs and other kitchen staff with various ad-hoc tasks to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Required Skills
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.
- Strong attention to detail regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and organization.
- High level of reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Good physical stamina and strength, capable of lifting and moving heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
