Career.zycto is seeking a highly creative, organized, and experienced Freelance Event Planner specializing in both wedding and corporate events to join our dynamic network in Discovery Bay, St. Ann. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to manage end-to-end event planning, from initial concept development to flawless execution. Key Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to understand their vision, objectives, and budget for weddings, corporate meetings, conferences, product launches, and other special events.
- Develop detailed event proposals, timelines, budget breakdowns, and concept boards that align with client expectations.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage a wide range of vendors including venues, caterers, photographers, florists, entertainment, and technical support.
- Coordinate all logistical aspects of events, including scheduling, permits, transportation, accommodation, and on-site management.
- Oversee event setup, execution, and breakdown, ensuring all elements run smoothly and according to plan.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the planning process.
- Manage event budgets meticulously, tracking expenses and ensuring cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
- Conduct post-event evaluations, gathering feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
Required Skills
- Proven experience (minimum 3 years) in professional event planning, with a strong portfolio showcasing both wedding and corporate events.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong creative vision and an eye for aesthetics and design.
- Proficiency in budget management and financial tracking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, adapting to client needs and unforeseen challenges.
- Proficiency in event management software (e.g., Aisle Planner, Eventbrite, Microsoft Office Suite).
Preferred Qualifications

- Established network of local vendors and venues in Discovery Bay, St. Ann, and surrounding areas.
