Key Responsibilities
- Set up and dismantle market stall daily, ensuring an attractive, clean, and organized display of products.
- Actively engage with customers, providing product information, recommendations, and delivering exceptional service.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using designated payment methods.
- Manage inventory levels at the stall, conducting regular stock checks, restocking, and reporting shortages.
- Maintain the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the stall area throughout all operating hours.
- Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and resolve minor complaints professionally and swiftly.
- Promote daily specials, new arrivals, and engage customers in product demonstrations or tastings when appropriate.
- Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and hygiene regulations relevant to food handling and market operations.
- Accurately reconcile daily sales, cash, and inventory at the close of each market day.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth market operations and contribute to achieving sales targets.
Required Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and engaging personality
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to build rapport quickly
- Basic numeracy and cash handling proficiency for transactions
- Ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and manage a stall effectively
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift and carry market goods (up to 20kg), and work outdoors in various weather conditions
