Duron Construction is seeking a motivated Part-Time Project Management Trainee to join our growing team in Ancaster, Hamilton. Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with project planning, scheduling, and tracking progress.
- Support in the preparation and review of project documentation, including contracts, reports, and proposals.
- Help monitor project budgets, expenses, and track financial performance.
- Coordinate communication between project team members, subcontractors, and clients.
- Participate in site visits and meetings to observe project execution and progress.
- Assist with data entry, record-keeping, and maintaining accurate project files.
- Contribute to risk identification and mitigation strategies.
- Learn and apply company project management methodologies and best practices.
- Support quality control efforts and ensure compliance with project specifications.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth project operations.
Required Skills
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a post-secondary program in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Basic understanding of project management principles (e.g., Gantt charts, timelines) is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous part-time work or volunteer experience in an office or project-based setting.
