Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with planting, potting, transplanting, and harvesting crops.
- Watering and fertilizing plants according to schedules and specific needs.
- Monitoring plant health and identifying signs of pests, diseases, or nutritional deficiencies.
- Performing general greenhouse maintenance, including cleaning, organizing, and sanitizing workspaces.
- Operating basic greenhouse equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Assisting with the preparation and packaging of produce for distribution.
- Following all safety protocols and company guidelines meticulously.
- Learning and adhering to environmental control procedures (temperature, humidity, ventilation).
- Documenting daily tasks and observations as required by supervisors.
Required Skills
- Strong work ethic and positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 25 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to new tasks.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
- Reliable transportation to the greenhouse facility in Airdrie, Alberta.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse team.
