Key Responsibilities
- Plan, set up, operate, and tear down sound systems for live events, including concerts, conferences, and special occasions.
- Perform comprehensive system checks and sound checks, ensuring optimal audio quality and functionality.
- Mix front-of-house (FOH) and monitor sound for various performers and presenters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve audio-related issues quickly and efficiently during live events.
- Configure and operate digital and analog mixing consoles, equalizers, compressors, and other audio processing equipment.
- Select, place, and manage microphones for instruments, vocals, and speakers.
- Implement wireless microphone and in-ear monitor systems, ensuring clear and interference-free operation.
- Maintain accurate inventory of audio equipment, performing routine cleaning, testing, and minor repairs.
- Collaborate with event managers, lighting technicians, stage crews, and talent to ensure seamless production.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices for equipment handling and event setup.
- Provide exceptional client service, understanding their audio needs and exceeding expectations.
Required Skills
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Live Sound Audio Technician.
- Proficiency with digital and analog mixing consoles (e.g., Yamaha, Behringer, Midas, Soundcraft).
- Strong understanding of acoustics, signal flow, gain staging, and audio physics.
- Experience with various types of microphones, speakers, and PA systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex audio systems under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in various environments (indoors/outdoors, heights).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree or certification in Audio Engineering, Live Sound Production, or a related field.
- Experience with specific audio software (e.g., SMAART, Rational Acoustics).
